Membership

  • How do I become a member?

    This one’s easy. To become a member, you’d need to fill out our application, which you can receive by following the instructions on this page.

  • How much does it cost to become a member?

    It’s FREE to join as a member of our Black Door community! We’d rather you spend your $ on the things that you need to succeed.

  • How can I check the status of my application?

    Due to the volume of applications that come our way, we can’t always guarantee that applications will be reviewed right away (We are humans, after all). All applicants are free to shoot a quick email to our contact page for an update.

  • My application was denied. Why did ya’ll do me like that?

    We don’t just deny people. However, we want to make it clear that we’re only reviewing COMPLETE applications. From there, it’s just a matter of having a decent body of work that can be incorporated into your creative profile. If you are denied for any reason, we’d be more than willing to go over the areas that need review/improvement.


Partnership

  • How do I become a partner?

    To become a partner, you’d need to fill out our brief form, which can be found here.

  • What’s in it for me/my organization?

    Partnering with us would mean having your services listed and promoted on our site and social media handles at no cost to you. Essentially, we would be using our own marketing/advertising strategies in order to drive potential leads to your business. 


Advertising

  • How long will my ad be posted?

    Job and Service-related ads will be posted for a minimum of 30 days regardless of what package you choose. If you’re placing an event ad, we will remove it the day after the scheduled date. For maximum results, we highly recommend placing event ads at least 30 days before the scheduled date.

  • I placed an event ad, but my event was canceled/postponed. What now?

    If the circumstances surrounding your event changes, contact us and we’ll work something out.

  • When will my ad be posted?

    Social media and Black board ads will be posted within 24-48 hours of placement. E-newsletter ads will be posted in the following Monday, so it’s crucial that this type of ad is placed before the Friday, 9pm EST deadline.

  • What if I really, really, really need to place an E-Newsletter ad, but it’s past the 9 p.m. deadline?

    If you find yourself in this situation, it’s gonna cost you. Just contact us, and we’ll figure something out.
