How do you keep your creative drip going?
Being in tune with what I like when it comes to music, tv shows and latest trends in pop culture. Seeing what the rest of the world is up to can always contribute to inspiration!
If you could talk to your favorite creative for an hour, who would it be and why?
It would be someone I think is funny, just because I love to laugh and laughter is medicine. Someone I could laugh with is probably Bambii! Her videos are hilarious and gives me great entertainment.
What is the last thing you learned?
The last thing I learned was how much for granted people take every day and the little things that make it up. Every moment to be alive and healthy is a time to cherish, and not be so consumed by the challenges or rough patches in life.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
I would tell my younger self to be patient, keep grinding but be patient. Rome wasn’t built in a day :)
What advice would you give to creatives of color looking to pursue their passion full-time?
Know that things can get worse before it gets better and don’t get discouraged! Everyone starts somewhere.

What do you do?
I am an intensive preventive caseworker for at risk youth and families. I have a bachelors in criminal justice and am currently obtaining my masters in Social Work. Modeling is an amazing hobby that I’d love to keep being active in and is a platform for me to express my creativity.
What are you working on right now?
Right now I am working on enjoying time with my family and balancing work and school at home in the midst of everything going on in the world.
What inspires you?
What inspires my taste or style is the current music I’m into. I have phases where I listen to straight dancehall and afrobeats, then another phase starts when I listen to more trap music. That plays a role in my taste, along with the mood I am in for the day!
Describe your dream job.
If we are talking about my dream job according to what I am going to school for or the professional path I am already on, I would like to work as a criminal profiler. On the other hand, it is a dream of mine to make an impact with modeling and photography and be up on a billboard somewhere.
What skill(s) would you develop if you had more time?
I would love to learn how to use Adobe Photoshop or other editing tools for my own photos, which is a great way not to depend on other professional in case I’m not satisfied!
What industry blogs/websites/podcasts do you enjoy?
I am always on YouTube watching different creative YouTubists and genuinely enjoying their productions. IAmZoie is one of my faves now.
What do you think the future holds for people of color in creative industries?
Very underrated. We have to advocate for ourselves and support each other, because we are not as easily recognized or acknowledged as others.
