5 favorite musical artists of all time?

  1. Beyonce

  2. Megan thee Stallion

  3. Rico Nasty

  4. Joe Hisaishi,

  5. Ella Fitzgerald

What inspires you?

Marceline the Vampire Queen, Rico Nasty, Megan thee Stallion, dark academia, and cottagecore lol.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Your need for perfection is an excuse to never put yourself out there. Be vulnerable. It's the only way you'll achieve your dreams <3.

What industry blogs/websites/podcasts do you enjoy?

Mostly just podcasts: My Favorite Murder, Sweet Bobby, 2 Hot Takes, Whoreable Decisions

What do you think the future holds for people of color in creative industries?

I think we'll keep growing exponentially. The internet and social media have allowed us all to find and connect with each other. I see us creating our own tables and everybody eating.

Be vulnerable. It’s the only way you’ll achieve your dreams.
— Sarah T.

What is your dream job?

Writing fiction books full time and helping other authors/artists build the platform they need to pursue their dreams full time.

What skill(s) would you develop if you had more time?

Video editing, audio editing, and Photoshop.

What is the last thing you learned?

Facebook's Social Media Marketing course on Coursera.

What are you working on right now?

I currently work with small to mid-sized agencies that use their podcasts to grow their reach and give advice to their audiences. This work includes audio/video editing, show notes, and newsletters. I also offer a social media add-on to create templates, clips, and audiograms along with weekly, biweekly, and batch creation support.

If you could talk to your favorite creative for an hour, who would it be? Why?

Beyonce. Everything she's done in the last 5-7 years is so elaborate and beautiful. I want to know how she plans everything out and how she can be so patient in the messy-middle part of a project.

What advice would you give to creatives of color looking to pursue their passion full-time?

Save up your F*ck You Fund while you're working at your day job. Cut down as many costs/bills as you can and learn as much as you can about your industry. Then when you're ready, take the leap of faith.

How do you keep your creative drip going?

I write in my notebook after work, I listen to audiobooks while I do chores or take walks, and I recently started painting again.
